You ARE Making a Difference!

In a 4 - 3 vote, the Wake County Commissioners made a key decision today pertaining to bond money and mandatory year-round schools. According to this account by WRAL (http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/1130327/), the Commissioners agreed to advance some of the bond money to the Wake County School Board, but stipulated that it cannot be used for mandatory year-round school conversions. They want more study time on the issue. This is huge! Keep your eyes and ears open because this is going to open up a lot of discussion.

I am planning to attend the School Board's Committee of the Whole meeting at noontomorrow, then stay for an hour or so for the regular 2:00 session. I'm anxious to hear what they have to say!
