QUALITY CANDIDATES NEEDED FOR SCHOOL BOARD POSITIONS!

FIVE School Board seats will be up for grabs this fall. In District 3, Carol Parker will be "retiring" from her position. Rosa Gill, the new Board Chairperson, will be running for re-election in District 4. Susan Parry (District 5) and Beverly Clark (District 6) will more than likely run for re-election, although it's not official yet. In District 8, Ron Margiotta is expected to run again as well.

So far, only one new person has indicated that he will run. Kevin Hill has announced his intentions to run in District 3 to replace Carol Parker. The News and Observer tells a little about him in this blog post.

A huge opportunity exists here to "overhaul" the School Board, but quality candidates are needed. If you know of such people in any of these districts, please encourage them to consider running, and/or to think of other possible candidates. This is one of those "thankless" jobs, yet we all know who will benefit from wise and fair leadership -- the childrenof Wake County.

JULY 6 - JULY 20 marks the two week time period when candidates can file with the

Wake County Board of Elections.

This deadline is fast approaching, so please put some thought and prayer into this now!!
